David Rogers’ passion for filmmaking began at an early age when he saw Superman The Movie on the big screen and for the next several years soaked up everything he could about making movies. At 15 he was shooting videos with his pals in the neighborhood, spent weekends videotaping weddings and bar mitzvahs, and after graduating with a degree in Cinema and Photography from Ithaca College, he moved to Hollywood to pursue his dream of directing.
His first TV gig was Assistant Editor on Seinfeld and he soon made the leap to Editor on shows including NewsRadio, The Comeback, and Entourage but it was at The Office where he won two Emmys and two A.C.E. Awards and got out of the edit bay and on set as a Director and Producer. David has directed several TV comedies, served as a Director/Editor/Executive Producer on The Mindy Project, co-edited the feature film Late Night, and is currently a Consulting Producer/Director/Editor on two upcoming series - Upload and Space Force.
David looks forward to new directing challenges and is currently writing and developing his own projects and exploring new technologies including virtual reality and multiple path storytelling.
